Winter Frost was first performed by Xavieran Flute Choir conducted by Leo Geyer on the 28th of March 2011 at the RNCM Carole Nash Recital Room.

Preface

Everything is covered by an ice coat, sealing all within.

The frost holds a tight grip but will do no harm.

Beneath the wintery veil there is life,

things still move, slither, crawl and grow;

all awaiting the morning sunshine.
